I’m a cartoonist living in Nelson, BC, Canada. This is an illustration of myself, personified as a bison.

I love to draw contour lines using black, brush tip pens, then scan my work and colour digitally. Or, instead, I like to use markers, pencil crayons or water colour paints to colour my work, especially when I’m working outside the studio in my sketchbooks.

I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil and figured out how to scribble. I knew I wanted to to be a cartoonist illustrator since I was twelve.

I studied printmaking in art school with a major in silkscreen art and, to this day, it informs my design sense. I’ve dabbled in other mediums but I always come back to the beautiful simplicity of cartoon illustration.
